Who We Are
Established June 1998 by the late Earl Wolford, of Hodgenville, Kentucky operating under the name of Wolford Garage. When Earl’s son, Dale retired from the Air Force, he and his family moved back to Hodgenville. Earl and Dale formed a partnership and changed the name to Wolford Transmission in May 2000. During the next three years Wolford Transmission continued to provide automotive transmission service and repairs.
April, 2003 Dale and his wife Mary took over the business. Dale is originally from Hodgenville and left shortly after graduating from Larue County High to join the Air Force. He served 20 years active duty and retired. During his time in the Air Force he met his wife originally from Spring Lake, North Carolina. Dale and Mary have two children who have graduated from Larue County High who sometimes help out at the shop.
